Expiry date specified in English, but processed in local language at runtime, this could cause licence to be reported as corupt. Technical Changes: None ProjectionVR v4.2.2 - Released: 20 February 2012 ================================================= Changes since v4.2.1 -------------------- Add diagnostic details to error message when a valid licence is not found. This will help identify the actual cause of the problem. Bug Fixes: Fixed problem with Time-Limited licences. Time-Limited licences were always seen to be invalid in any timezone other than GMT. Technical Changes: None ProjectionVR v4.2.1 - Released: 14 February 2012 ================================================= Changes since v4.2.0 -------------------- None Bug Fixes: Fixed problem with collimation control. With some mice, the size of the collimated area always decreased regardless of the direction of scrolling. Technical Changes: None ProjectionVR v4.2.0 - Released: 01 February 2012 ================================================ Installation notes ---------------------- Upgrade from any v4 release to v4.2 is free but due to changes in the licensing mechanism new registration keys are required. Please contact your local distributor or info@shaderware.com. As of v4.2, the installer will: 1) install ProjectionVR into a directory suffixed by the major release, in this case "ProjectionVR v4". This allows side-by-side installation with previous and future major releases. 2) if a pre-installed copy of the same major release is located, the user will be given the option of re-installing over the top or cancelling the install. Changes since v4.1.1 -------------------- New scenario for the lower-limb. Add Click&Drag functionality for positioning the head Locale is no longer user selectable from menu at runtime, it must be set in the initialization file. The ship default is to use the host's locale. Implemented a menu option with initialization file default for CR/DR. The ONLY effect that it has is on the range of cassettes available for selection and whether or not the cassette disappears after an exposure. Enhance DRR calculation algorithms to improve speed and increase compatibility with GPUs. Improved menu selection of transfer function and image resolution, these parameters can now be specified as defaults in the initialization file. Collimation and detent positions have been enhanced to make them more appropriate for the units of measure in use (SI or US / Imperial) Some improvements to responsiveness of XrayroomVR user interface. Report mean pixel value, this is similar to an exposure index in CR Report Incident and "Entrance Surface Dose" Bug Fixes: Fix intermittent program crash in Xrayroom due to multiple scenario changes. Fix intermittent program crash in XrayroomVR and ConsoleVR due to DirectX resource contention. Incorrect model used for 18cm x 43cm cassette. Amend DAP calculation to simulate a DAP meter at a fixed distance from the source (30cm) If user changed scenario while they were in "Marker Placement" view, there was a hangover into the new scenario. The cassette tool bar was as if still in "cassette placement" and there was no way to reset it Technical Changes: Built using Visual Studio 2010 Built against wxWidgets v2.9.3 Built against Directx SDK version June 2010 Rename data directories to include a GUID. This ensures that when we search for the data directory the correct directory is located not a random folder that just happens to be called "data". Licensing has changes, Licenses are now node locked. As part of the upgrade clients will need to obtain a new version of their license ProjectionVR v4.1.1 - Released: 17 May 2011 ============================================= Installation notes ---------------------- Upgrade from v3 to v4 is not free and consequently v3 registration keys not unlock v4. Exam Database. Markers. ProjectionVR v3.3.0 - Released: 01 July 2009 ================================================= Installation notes ---------------------- Due to internal changes to the installation directory structure it is recommended that previous versions of ProjectionVR should be completely uninstalled and if not automatically removed by the uninstall process, the installation directory should be manually deleted. For completeness it is recommended that any remaining related "Start Menu" items are also manually deleted. Product registration will NOT be affected by this. Changes since v3.2.0 -------------------- Improved user interface. The major focus of this release is to make user interactions with objects in the virtual x-ray room more intuitive. Individual objects can now be selected and drag using the left mouse-button. Adjustments to the selected object can be made using the mouse scroll-wheel, where applicable. Optional, on-screen context sensitive help is available for all interactions saving the need to memorise individual actions. Feedback is provided for interactions via the highlighting of the selected object, and by context sensitive cursor icons. Localization for the United States. When run on a machine using the "English (United States)" regional setting, measurements will be reported in inches and the available cassettes will reflect those in common usage in the U.S. Module Consolidation. The "Patient Recumbent (supine)" and "Patient Erect" modules previous both had two variants using different underling patient data. i.e. full body and partial body. These two variants have been merged in to a single application and can be accessed by altering the pose of the patient New Module. A "trolley trauma" module in now available. Minor Improvements Included in this release + The "Light Box Diaphragm" can now be rotated + Visible size of cassettes increase as per reality. Previously these were shown as being equal to their plate size. Also the maximum image is now slightly smaller than the quoted size to reflect the fact that the whole area is not available for image acquisition. + Amendment to underlying data, the forearms and hands have been removed from the data allowing realistic radiographic examination of the pelvis, hip and abdomen + Add scroll-wheel emulation for pointing devices without scroll-wheel ProjectionVR v3.2.0 - Released: 12 Feb 2009 =========================================== Installation notes ---------------------- Due to internal changes to the installation directory structure it is recommended that previous versions of ProjectionVR should be completely uninstalled and if not automatically removed by the uninstall process, the installation directory should be manually deleted. For completeness it is recommended that any remaining related "Start Menu" items are also manually deleted. Product registration will NOT be affected by this. Changes since v3.1.10 -------------------- Improved Patient models that better match the underlying radiographic data Pixel resolution of the simulated radiograph now defaults to 1024 x 1024. If this change increase image generation time to an unacceptable level, please contact support@shaderware.com for instructions detailing how to revert to previous resoultion. Removal of unrealistic cassette type. ProjectionVR v3.1.10 - Released: 07 Dec 2008 ============================================ Installation notes ---------------------- Due to internal changes to the installation directory structure it is recommended that previous versions of ProjectionVR should be completely uninstalled and if not automatically removed by the uninstall process, the installation directory should be manually deleted. For completeness it is recommended that any remaining related "Start Menu" items are also manually deleted. Product registration will NOT be affected by this. Changes since v3.1.9 -------------------- Upgraded Build environment to Visual Studio 2008, WindowsSDK, and DXSDK August 2008 Remove the "Lecturer's Demo Tool" as it is now a separate module Fix error on Radeon X1400 and x1600 GPU's. Application uses Shader Model 2.0 algorithm as SM3 doesn't work correctly on these processors. Fix error in data that produced artifacts. This was especially noticeable on a LR view of the skull. ProjectionVR v3.1.9 - Released: 31st October 2008 ================================================= Installation notes ------------------ Due to the changes in the licensing software, it will be necessary to re-input license details. Until this is done, the software will revert to the fully functional evaluation mode and the user will have 15 days to re-input the license key details. If upgrading from releases prior to v3.1.8, then due to internal changes to the installation directory structure it is recommended that previous versions of virtual radiography should be completely uninstalled and if not automatically removed by the uninstall process, the installation directory should be manually deleted . Product registration will NOT be affected by this. Changes since v3.1.8 -------------------- Change to DRR image density calculation based on specified technical factors. Modify the size of the incremental steps for the tube charge (mAs) setting. New steps are based on increments found on real world machines. Fix problem introduced during SM3 mod. If no part of the subject is in the path of the x-ray beam (because the patient was hidden, or the tube just pointed away) then a problem occurred. If it was the first exposure an error would be triggered as pointers to render surface were null. If it was a second or subsequent exposure the previous image was displayed. Addressed problem with licensing software cause by change for Vista. Made change to internal selection of DRR generation algorithm to work round issue with Nvidia GeForce 6000 series GPUs and shader model V3.0. The software will, by default choose to use the highest version supported. This can now be over-ridden in the configuration file. ProjectionVR v3.1.8 - Released: 07 October 2008 =============================================== Installation notes ------------------ In order to more readily distinguish this suite of programs from the other "virtual radiography" modules, the name "ProjectionVR" has been adopted internally. This will be seen in naming of the new directory structure and some file names but the software has not changed. Due to internal changes to the installation directory structure it is recommended that previous versions of virtual radiography should be completely uninstalled and if not automatically removed by the uninstall process, the installation directory should be manually deleted . Product registration will NOT be affected by this. Changes since v3.1.7 -------------------- Metrics and images no longer saved to installation directory. Default location is "My Documents\shaderware\ProjectionVR". This can be customised via the config file. Contact shaderware if you require this option. Change to license key processing to avoid a Vista UAC issue that required the application to be run in compatibility mode with the "run as administrator" option selected. Changes to "digitally Reconstructed Radiograph" image generation algorithm to overcome image quality issues encountered with Nvidia GeForce 8000 & 9000 graphics cards. Also fixes similar problem encountered with some ATI HD2400Pro cards. Fix an inconsistency in the default size of the "lightbox" window for module 00100310 (recumbent, full body)
